Dear Collegues, friends and exhibitors
It is a great pleasure and privilige to invite you to the 23rd annual meeting of EATB, which will take place for the first time in Sweden, October 1-3, 2014.
The charming university city of Lund will host the congress. Situated in the very southern part of Sweden the city is close to Malmö and Copenhagen with a short distance from the international airport of Copenhagen. Lund has a university from 1666 and one of the biggest university hospitals in the country with national service in lung and heart transplantation, pediatric cardiac surgery as well as a multi tissue bank in collaboration with the Scandinavian countries.
We have started to compose a program with three focus areas: 1. activities and programs for organ and tissue donation throughout Europe, 2. how can forensic medicine contribute to tissue donation and 3. long term results of tissue transplantation.
International well renowned speakers are invited to be key note lecturers in the three focus areas. Tissue engineering and work shops in queries concerning processing and donation will also be highlighted as well as legal and inspection aspects.
The organizing committee looks forward to welcome you all to a fruitful congress with open discussions and important networking to promote further development of tissues for transplantation.
